Video: AirVenture - Meet the Boss Randy Babbitt Tackles User Fees Wednesday, Oct 14, 2009
On July 30th, 2009, Randy Babbitt took to the podium for the first time as the FAA Administrator, addressing EAA AirVenture attendees in the Honda Pavilion. With nearly 70,000 operations every day, and over 753 million people transported each year, Babbitt explained that the overall system is unquestionably the safesty, most efficient system in the world. That system, however, requires an extraordinary budget and with the changing flight market, one question remains: how does the FAA continue to fund the immense costs without degrading the effectiveness?
This website was built to document my work on my RV-9A in
compliance with the FAA requirements needed to certify my aircraft. My experiences and comments are by
no means to be considered as instructions on how to build an RV-9A or any other aircraft.
