 Riveted in the nose ribs on the left Horizontal Stabilizer skin
I learned my lesson from the doing the right skin. This time I riveted the center front rib into the top side of the left HS skin first and then flipped it over to do the bottom side of the skin. For some reason the skin seems to distort more on the opposite side of the first riveting. Now the skin looks nice and smoothly uniform on the top side of the HS skin, while the bottom side looks a little distorted. Go figure.

Once again, live and learn. On this left HS skin I had the riveting and bucking thing down and was able to not pound the skin so much with the rivet gun. I got to where I could mentally gauge the number of seconds spent on each individual riveting session, plus the sound the rivet makes when in real contact with the bucking bar. The result was a shorter, more accurate setting of each rivet. I think the overall look of the left skin over the front spar is better looking than the right.
