Getting ready to cleco the left leading edge on to the main sparGetting ready to cleco the left leading edge on to the main spar
The instructions state that the 5th rib bottom flange in the leading edge assembly will need to be trimmed to allow for clearance of the large rivet heads already on the main spar. I did some measuring and managed to calculate exactly where the main spar rivet heads would come in contact with the rib flange. I used my unibit to make a 3/8" hole in the rib flange. I got lucky, it clears the main spar rivets perfectly.

Wow, this is looking cool! I bought my kiddo an extra pair of cleco pliers from ATS, which were on sale. These new pliers were poorly designed, awkward and even crooked, but he just luvs them. He had a blast clecoing on one side while I clecoed the other. Also, I ordered some new clecoes from ATS. I had to toss 5 of them in the trash, some of them were crooked and one even had the grip tips broken off.

I slide the W-908 rib into place, then back drilled the rear flange from the spar and clecoed it in place.
