Fitted the F-748 Baggage Tunnel CoverFitted the F-748 Baggage Tunnel Cover
No biggie here. Just see if it fits. In actuality, It doesn't fit great. I put 2 screws (hand tight) into the first two nutplates. This forces the part to fit exactly over the holes in the floor panels below. Then I worked my way back to the baggage panels using clecos. By the time I got to the rear panel, the cover wanted to buckle a little. I'm sure it will fit fine when all the screws in the back panels and the tunnel cover are tightened all the way.
Time to fit the F-749 Forward Baggage Side Covers. Time to fit the F-749 Forward Baggage Side Covers.
But first the flange on the top must be trimmed. I didn't find anything in the instructions or drawings that definitely said to do this. But the part won't fit if you don't. There are 2 tell-tail marks in the edges of the flange (like the elevators stiffeners) that indicate the line to be cut.
Done!Done!
Some of the nutplates were previously installed (by yours truly). I have 2 more nutplates to put in on the floor panels. The instructions said that fitting these panels "will require twisting it into position with the horizontal flange under the baggage floor". I didn't find that to be true at all. They were easy to put in.
